Also called V Gold 10. A stainless steel with high-carbon content which is very hard and very tough, with great edge retention. Typically has an HRC of 60-61. Originally made by Takefu Special Steel Company in Japan.
Contains 1% carbon, 15% chromium, 1% molybdenum, 0.2% vanadium, and 1.5% cobalt.
